A Letter to my Future Kids

Photos 1024x726 A Letter to my Future Kids

My dearest Kids,

By the time you get to read and understand this letter, Daddy will be a bit older than he used to be… having a few wrinkles in the face, hair thinning out, and most probably sporting a huge belly just like your grandfather (hopefully not).

I maybe moody at times; always complaining about the pain in my knee and back; annoying your mother whenever I travel spontaneously without permission. You do know that she’s just concerned about my health… though deep inside she just wants to travel with me… she just wouldn’t admit it.

Whatever our present circumstances may be, I just want you to know that Daddy loves you so much. I love Mommy as well.

I also want you to know that starting today this blog will be purely dedicated to you… hoping that you’d get to know me better before I became your Dad.

Kids, this is me when I was younger… a traveller always on the look-out for new adventures… a risk taker willing to explore the unknown… and a dreamer.

It has always been my dream to travel around the Philippines, the world and possibly the outer space.

Travelling is my passion. And this blog will serve as a testament to that passion. This is me showing you that you can achieve anything as long as you’re passionate about it.

Whatever your passion may be, always give it your best. Do not worry about failures. It is life teaching you a lesson. These challenges will only make you a better and stronger person… not to mention wiser.

Kids, I am always here to guide you. But I also want you to discover for yourself your purpose in life. I was brought up that way by your grandparents. They are the most amazing people in the world. And I can’t wait to instill to you the principles and values they’ve taught me.

This letter is only the start of something new. I may not be the most gifted blogger/writer out there but what I can promise you is that, I’ll be writing travel stories and experiences from my heart. I want you to know where I’m coming from. And I’m hoping these stories will help you realize your true potential.

Whatever happens, always be grateful for the life you have… enjoy itcherish itlive in the moment… and keep moving forward

Love,

Daddy

P.S. I am looking forward to more travels with you and your Mom.

P.S. Here’s a photo of Daddy when he was younger. This was taken in Coffee Cat, the day he wrote this letter for you. It is his favorite chill out place in Cebu.

  8. Love your baby pics. Ang cu-cute! I also like this line very much: “I was brought up that way by your grandparents. They are the most amazing people in the world. And I can’t wait to instill to you the principles and values they’ve taught me.” Truly, our parents’ influence on how we grow to love traveling cannot be discounted!
